Yeah, he exaggerated. The distance from NYC to San Francisco is 2,906.5 miles. (However, maybe he refrigerator/freezer is bigger than ours.) For me, that was part of the reason it seemed less impressive. An amazing stat that the blocks lined up would go between New York and San Francisco - seems hard to believe - still.
