REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA: FUN AT THE PUMPKIN PATCH

Yesterday afternoon we made our annual pilgrimage to the Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch in Redlands, California. This is the fourth year in a row that I've joined the Hutchings family at the farm, and the Mylroie family has joined us for the last three years.  Unfortunately, Bob is nursing a bad cold and thought it better not to expose everyone, so he didn't get to come along. We missed him!

This year, I think the pictures can speak for themselves.

FROM UTAH TO CALIFORNIA: BACK TO PARADISE

Last weekend I made another speed trip to Utah. I had a wonderful weekend with family, in spite of the fact that it rained every day. When I started home on Monday morning, the weather was rather ominous:
It didn't seem to be getting any better as I drove south:

Even the poor cows looked cold:

Finally, I started getting closer to home:

And then at last! Home sweet home!

Today's weather:

It's hard not to gloat.
